MY GUYYYY. That last bonus tip of layering on the fly with shift and drag is the most underrated workflow improvement. I will take this with me for eternity. Thankyou, thankyou. also, been a minute since I've checked a video of yours. Glad to see your youtube game is steppin up! New mic and visual set - looks and sounds good botha

Yo this comment means even more to me than that super thanks!!! Thank You for asking cause that's the direction I really want to go. I may be procrastinating cause I want to do it right, maybe a little hesitation there. But interesting cause I've been pulling up a few sessions with vocals so I can plan out a video. And my video setup is finally how I envisioned it so I can do this properly. Also invested in a better audio interface/preamp so I'm getting ready. No excuses now.

Holy crap! 2/4 of these are new to me, and will be used OFTEN! Thanks! Trade ya... my biggest tip, especially for those of us with fat fingers, is to grab a $3 fiber-tip stylus. Oh, MAN, have I been able to book in the step sequencer, now, using one of these. I got the kind with 6mm tip on one end and 5mm on the other, and the fiber cloth. The 5mm tip is PERfect.
@deanisplemoni

Damn, what sort of stylus we need man?
@awjaaa

@@deanisplemoni I just got the cheapest passive capacitive (no batteries) 5mm fiber tip kind. I got others, but these are cheapest and actually work better, so far. I got the more rubber/foam tip kind... Doesn't seem as accurate, but it's ok. I think it's a little less firm, is why. I got the active capacitive kind w/ smaller tip, but that needs constant charging, has a harder tip, and doesn't seem quite as accurate. They sell those with little clear "targeting" disks at the end that supposedly help them be more accurate. I didn't try those. Dunno. This 5mm plain jane fiber tip kind works great, for me, so far. And, heck, they're $3-4. Can't go wrong to test. I got four in a pack, and have one at the desk, one in the case, one in my pocket, and one to spare. I got the "Bargains Depot" brand, if that helps. It's the kind with the silvery cloth on the tips. @Lifted Noise, there's a video idea for ya. A comparison of stylus..es... stylii? I had some lying around, though. They can be costly for the active ones.

@@deanisplemoni Right on. Hope this helps your workflow as much as it's helped mine. I know this box is supposed to be all about doing things and re-doing things, live. But, sometimes, ya still gotta hit that step editor and tweak. That was getting pretty clunky and slow for me.

You,thank you! I've been wanting to leave the first 3 tracks to explode the drums,but most of the times I use way more (like 2 hats or something). My usual setup is 1 - Drums/2 - Sample/3- Extra Hats/4- Bass/ 5 - Extra sample. The template would be great,but since I've been always working like this, I kinda remember. Then I name them anw when I'm ready to start with the mutes

Thanks for the tips. I just got one and like it so far especially for the mobility. I also have the force. The force matrix style (like ableton) is much more easy to navigate. I believe some people have got the force software running on the live. Anyways I'm having fun with this.

Template was such a game changer, but Akai should let you pick between a few different templates. There's so much unused space on the 'new track' page, I don't know why they don't give us room for maybe five templates to choose between.
@LiftedNoise
@LiftedNoise 2 жыл бұрын
Definitely, more than one template would be a nice option. Could open up some more possibilities for sure.
