Where is the lane tracking?
@rubensrodrigues15114 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately the sensors do not detect pedestrians when the car is in reverse. If you are in reverse and a pedestrian passes behind the car in addition to the sensors not detecting the pedestrian, the automatic brake system does not automatically activate in case of emergency. This a major failure in the Ford Edge 2019 specially with the top models like the Titanium and the Sport version. Great car, but not having this major security feature it is a big disappointment!

How do we turn the beeping alert sounds off? They scare the shit out of me I’m surprised it hasn’t caused more accidents! I can’t even go through a drive thru without it doing a solid beep with red! And scaring me to death!
@AutoAcademics3 жыл бұрын
While they can be alarming at times, those beeps are designed as such to make sure you do not hit anything as you get close to something. We don't remember exactly which button it is, but those are your parking sensors beeping when you are at the drive thru, 11:11 Smittenkitten. Turn those off and your car will no longer beep in those circumstances. That also means they will not beep the next time you come close to an object for the remainder of that drive. You can manually turn the sensors back on again the same way you turned them off and the system should reset itself the next time you turn your car on again. Typically, in your vehicle settings you can turn the volume of the beeps down and even adjust their sensitivity. This may help them sound less alarming to you, as well as minimize how often they alert. If you are unable to figure it out on your own, take the car to your local Ford dealer and they should be able to help you with the settings. Sorry we couldn't help more, but thanks for watching.

From what speed does AEB become likely to hit the stationary car?
@AutoAcademics5 жыл бұрын
If we remember correctly, it was anything over 30 mph, Foo Barrel. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
@AutoAcademics5 жыл бұрын
Sorry, Foo Barrel. We just watched our video again 5:35 and the minimum speed is 20 mph.
@foobarrel90465 жыл бұрын
@@AutoAcademics So the effective range of this AEB is from 20 .. 30 mph? That cannot be right and sounds like the lower boundary. Sorry BTW that my original question was unclear, I meant to ask "at what max speed will this AEB still work?" I am interested to know if Ford's latest implementation of AEB is any better than Tesla's, which currently is not reliable at >=50mph due to limitations with the radar sensor of 2014 vintage.

@@2024LexusRX That sounds like a very respectable performance. Do you know if the ADAS SoC running in your car is a MobilEye EyeQ4, or what?

Way too much computerized bullshit. I feel much more comfortable when I'm actually in control of the vehicle. The only thing I like is the blind spot detection. Yesterday the "pre-collision assist" warning came on and I wasn't even anywhere close to the car in front of me....Hate it!
@toptobottom2475 жыл бұрын
It's very disappointing that these features aren't a government-regulated requirement of all vehicles all auto manufacturers sold in America as standard (no charge) equipment. Who cares what the owner wants it's everybody else life out there that matters. Haggling over the price of technology that saves millions of lives is petty. Buyers need to be more demanding in that respect. Just my opinion...🤔

Requiring fancy technology on all vehicles will increase the cost to produce even the cheapest vehicles. Who will bear that burden?
