I actually noticed it myself on my first playthrough ahah the message itself isn't really a mystery because if you run away from the cops during your night out with lenny, arthur will wake up hungover right next to that tree, then I just happened to pass by that spot again later as john and found the second part. the cutscene one was the most impressive and well hidden for me

Never stop man, your videos are top tier. RDR 2 is my favorite game of all time and you keep bringing me back to playing it with Arthur and John. Love both characters, both are legendary and badass in their own right. Keep doing what you're doing and never stop! I am looking forward to a PS5 remastered version of the game. I have autographs of the three major characters (Roger, Rob, and Benjamin) and could never be happier. If Rockstar can remaster the game for PS5 they are sitting on a literal gold mine... take all my money.

the secret cutscene makes me wonder what goes through the dev's mind. in most missions you step one foot away from intended path and they slap you with a mission fail scene but here you get a whole different cutscene. it's cool and wish R* would introduce many other varieties

Honestly, there's a great internal struggle for me to watch your videos since I still haven't even completed the story. On one hand, the insight you provide, on top of the editing, research, recording and direction, makes for great content that helps deepen my appreciation for this game and the work put into it. On the other, stumbling across these secret references and mysteries on my own is an experience that's really hard to come by, at least from the games that I've played before this.

It's not exactly a "secret" cutscene. It's an alternate cutscene for continuity in the mission rather than having the mission fail and having to restart it cuz Arthur shoots em from a distance. So before he can shoot the 2nd guy, this abrupt cutscene plays out so the mission continues. Not that big a deal honestly.

I didn't know that boat was a secret. I paddled it around shooting spoon bills for Algernon, also, nowhere on that carving does it indicate that the woman wrote it. Who is more likely to carve into a tree? Think about that for a minute.

I found the lovers writing on the tree after the mission when Arthur runs from the cops and wakes up far from Valentine. I'll was near. But I never noticed or knew there was another hidden cuisine for finding trewlany I guess that is my fave one. Nice video.

The tree canoe is called a dugout canoe. It was one of the original ways settlers made canoes. They'd use an axe and such to cave it out and then burn the inside to seal it.
