Thank you so much! Super happy to hear that - yeah, I just love light leaks, I use them super often and I just love the look of it! However, I love the real flares from my vintage canon fd's even more :D

Thanks brother! Super happy to hear that, especially because I felt a little "unmotivated" the last month which was also reflected in my recent videos I guess (everything was down). Now I got fresh motivation and reading a comment like this is heartwarming to say the least! Once again, massive thanks to your ongoing support!!! :)

Really? Adding motion blur to your slo mo, wide, drone shot? Wow
@SebastianFriedrichVisuals
@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Жыл бұрын
Yeah, really. I don’t know where you see slow-mo, but this was shot on 24fps lol - pretty darn slow tho! 🤣 And yes, if you‘re flying close to something, there usually is motion blur, except, as I said in the video, when you crank up that shutter speed ;)
@atc576
@atc576 Жыл бұрын
97% of the viewers that watch that clip IS NOT looking at the motion blur of the edge of the dirt and grass!. That's all i gotta say. Going over board on the motion blur for your drone shots. Ppl dont watch drone clips and say.. 'oh that looks unnatural.. the motion blur looks unnatural. Truth

@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals not personally attacking you man. You have some great tutorials.. just think since drone clips are 2 maybe 3 secs long, as an editor we are forcing eye trace and i just think the motion blur thing is insignificant to the overall emotion.
@SebastianFriedrichVisuals
@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Жыл бұрын
@@atc576 totally got you man! I just wanted to showcase how to create motion blur for the ones who have the free version of resolve, not specifically for drone footage. For example, you Film something at 60p and you decide to not slow it down, you won’t have that much motion blur, so you can still get some back - was absolutely not meant to be a drone footage only thing 😁

Tip #1 - Why do you output blank as opposed to just making the dimensions that particular size? I figured exporting the black pixels was a waste and so I make a 2:1 ratio video, it fills a phone when landscape and uses all the pixel juice! I see lots of people keep to 16:9 anyway though, so just wondered your thoughts?
@SebastianFriedrichVisuals
@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Жыл бұрын
Hey Chris! Yeah, for sure - I think the biggest thing is with professional editing, you don't edit for phone screens. TV's and most monitors are still 16:9 aspect ratio. Another big point is you can quickly change the output blanking via those presets instead of having to deal with the mathematics behind this when setting your timeline resolution, it just is "more efficient", timewise - but that's just my thoughts, of course! :)

@@SebastianFriedrichVisuals Aha, yeah the mathematics thing can be a trip at times. Appreciate your perspective!
