I feel like such an old sod now. I remember buying this record when it was still on white label (oct 2000). The late 90s - 2002(circa) was the EPOCH of trance. I was a hardcore raver; both DJ and Patron. I was the only raver who would pay 30 bucks to hit up a party and not dance. I would drop my two or three pills, find a comfy spot near the dance floor... and just drift away to this amazing music --- people would question a lot. Why even spend all that money just to sit all night. My response: you need two things to really enjoy MDMA, trance and people. The only time I ever danced at a party was in Philadelphia, NYE 1999 into the millennium at 'Space' nightclub. I've never had a 'true' moment like that again. 3000 people on a dancefloor bringing in an entire century to one of the best trance tracks ever put down.

Good news and bad news- as a huge fan I can't help but share this recent revelation: Good news is that Vanessa still sings, and finally has material coming out with 4 Strings again. The bad news is that it's not actually Vanessa at all who is behind the voice, as she was just the model or "stage face" of the group. The real vocalist is a seemingly unknown woman by the name of Susann Gesang (aka Susanne Teutenberg). Shocking as this might seem, give her the credit she deserves!

4 Strings is still one of those few artists that make pure and uplifting trance, thank goodness. Also, they abandoned their stupid commercial works at Spinnin' Records couple years ago, which was a pretty huge feat for trance artists who left trance like Tiesto and Sander van Doorn.

Music can really make a connection with people from the past ... She loved to dance and could go on for hours I still love the energy ... Yet somehow she always had her own opinion on what she wanted and didn't get ... If you were her favourite then nothing could go wrong ... Yet if she was mad about you you'd better run ... Still, I was a little concerned about all the attention she was getting ... Tried to warn her at times but I was just somebody who was nosing around ... I cared a little too much but at times when I got into an argument with her ... Then I could do anything wrong in her eyes because it was her life as a full-grown woman ... Stubborn but with a charm and smile of her own I loved her at times for that ... What I didn't like were the insults and the I know everything attitude without seeing the dangers ...
