I hadn't walked up into my dad's apartment/flat in over a year until yesterday. And the amount of nostalgia i felt, from the lighting, the stairs, the elevation as i walked up to the smell, gave me so much gosh darn nostalgia. And then in the next 30 minutes my dad said he's thinking of selling it off after coming back home as he's been going overseas longer than he's been home. Which made me sad 🥲 The wave of nostalgia made me attached to the place. A place i went to so many times growing up.

I have something similar! I was 3 years old when I left China. I'm 30 now and went to China last month to see the unit again. Immediately all my childhood memories were slowly coming back. The only thing I don't remember was the bathroom. XD which was probably a good thing because the toilet and shower were right next to each other. I also went to my mom's childhood home too but was sad the photos they kept are destroyed when we found the photo albums.
