I spent ages umming and ahhing over whether to get an analog heat, then one day I pulled the trigger. Haven't regretted it at all. Not used the overbridge or usb functionality but definitely agree about the tactile/ease of use point. I love it.

Nice man! Same here no regrets at all yet despite the price. I’ve been using it on almost every beat I make now and I’ve not even dug into sample processing yet!

Map the envelope with a bass focus to the EQ low with a negative depth and you have an Analog dynamic EQ. You also can’t record the effects while your using it as an interface. It records / interfaces from the moment it receives the input signal and before the analog circuits Also careful with gain staging as it’s floor noise ratio is higher than most high end audio gear which is why Elektron say it is for a Lofi sound

I am now trying to get buchla style low pass gate but am sick at the moment. Would be ga good context. WHO can build te best LPG patch :)

I have it for years now. If you sent the right voltages and shapes while set it in audable lfo mode, you got yourself a analog Synth ;)

I have this incessant curiosity about Elektron gear overall. Their stuff really interests me for some of my more "IDM" tastes in production style, which is more in line with the functions of their other products. But the tactile thing in general is such a huge factor in what keeps me in the zone.

it does seem that way which has put me off getting the Digitakt. I was tempted after using this because of the quality, but other commenters have warned me that its quite a rigid machine.

@@spvidz Yeah man the seeming rigidity is what made me reluctant and go with the SP when I was in searching... Some day, though! You can do some really fancy glitchy/electronic stuff with that and the Octatrack haha.

analog heat is low on the list for me in terms of priority, but i love the digitakt and digitone more than anything i own. elektron really knows how to design for intuition, and the sequencer properties on those digi boxes are just so good.

@@spvidz you helped sell me on the new SP, i find elektron devices push me towards more quantized and clean compositions. that has its place but i really wanted something better for organic stuff, especially with custom chop points

Do you think usb audio is better than line? Isnt the volume lower?

USB audio is often a bit noisier too. That said, it's just so convenient

I’ve not done a lot of testing those against each other but as mentioned in the vid, USB doesn’t seem that stable for me. I might try a different cable and see if that helps. I’ll have to experiment against my audio interface line ins sound wise 👍
