I mean even basic knowledge would be helpful! The fact that a lot of us sign our names for student loans with no idea how it affects our future because all we ever heard was "go to college."

+Curls Unbothered exactly! luckily my school encourages us not to take out loans and to dry to get as many grants and scholarships we can and to use a pell grant. but what about those students from outside of the state?

I wasn't hip until a few years ago honestly and that's sad. My parents had the hindsight to really build a nice foundation for me but it's up to me from here! Hopefully, videos like this can shed a little light on all this. It's a lot to take into account. And credit affects your ability to do EVERYTHING!

Unless you are financially taking a loan to buy car isn't wise. Check out Dave Ramsey channel. However, saving and buying a used car cash is practical for starter.

I used to teach a freshman orientation class that covered things like this. I was always shocked that it wasn't a required course and that so many of my students had no idea how interest rates work :/

This was great! Could you do a video on. - getting an apartment - getting a car including loans - insurance. I'm graduating soon and I won't have insurance how would I be covered before my insurance from work kicks in a friend told me there could be a probation period.

i’m a high schooler and i’m just having fears of an adult and being clueless about everything. like when the real world hits you. my hs doesn’t offer home ec or anything to help young adults like myself. it’s rlly sad bc i know many teens my age (including myself) will enter this world without a clue.

I am thoroughly convinced they don't teach personal finance as a required course in high school because they don't want to see us be great! Lol But seriously, I got in trouble when I got to college and those people standing around campus said "Hey!! Sign this paper and get a FREE sub!" Of course I didn't know better, plus, I was a broke and hungry college student! Next thing I know, a credit card is at my house. Great video! Can't wait for the next in this series!

it lost a lot of funding but some places still have it under Family and Consumer sciences. Cooperative extension agencies in you are have good updated resources.

Family and Consumer Sciences in my area consisted of cooking classes only which is sad.
