Ever since I was a small child I have been obsessed with claw machines! Me and my uncle used to love going to the movie theater with my cousins and trying to win a prize! Over all throughout my life I have won about 15 plushies! Here are the tips I have learned for anyone who needs help winning there first prize! Tip 1. Go for the toy that’s easiest to grab! DON’T go for the toy that you want to win! Trust me! If you want a certain toy you can go buy it at a store later. Go for the toy that’s the easiest to grab! (In the end for me the feeling of having won a prize is the real award! Most of the time people don’t play this game to win a plushie. They just want the feeling of having won that prize.) tip 2. Don’t go for the direct middle of the toy! I have lost so many chances to win something because of this. Try to aim a claw arm at the edge of the plush to kind of bring the claw underneath the toy. This will increase your chances of a good grip on the plush! If you go for the middle then it will be harder to get a good grip. Tip 3. Don’t get frustrated when you don’t win! Sometimes you are not going to win a plush. I recommend only 3-4 tries on one claw before moving unless you are certain you can get it on the next grab. This way you won’t spend all your tickets on one game. The claw can be very addicting but try to tell yourself that by doing this you are saving your credit for a different prize at a new machine. Tip 4. Watch other players. If you are like me then you will know that it takes forever for your mom or dad to get your tickets for the arcade games. Take this opportunity to watch other players and see their strategy. If they win a prize walk up and ask them if they have any tips for this certain claw. It might just save you a ton of money that could have been wasted on this game! That’s all of the tips I have for you guys! You know, I would have guessed that someone who took the time to make a 14 minute video describing tips and tricks for winning claw games would have had more success or information beyond the obvious stuff anyone who's played one would know. I have 2 tips that have actually provided me with some substantial success. First, you should try to get on a machine that either had several recent attempts which failed or machine that hasn't been played in a relatively long time (a few hours at least, depending on the location and prizes) as the computer is more likely to allow a payout to attract more business. 2) This is my best kept secret when it comes to winning these things: find the specific prize that you want from inside, try to see someone else play it to determine how the claw moves in all directions, and (finally) take a deep breath and walk away towards a store that sells that item. You know that all of these things are rigged and that, on average, you will be putting significantly more money into the game than the cost of the prize so the machine owner will make a profit. It's not the coolest or sexiest way to do it, but it is almost always going to cost far less than spending half an hour dumping quarters into an item that cost the owner pennies.

From my experience with claw machines you either have one with a rigged claw that has butter grips or the claw that has good grip but requires quick timing and a good strategy, and well here are some tips 1) don't go for plushies that are buried you'll end up picking air and lose points. 2) always go for plushies next to the hole never on the corners that are far from the hole the claw machine won't give you enough time to hold the plushy and it will drop it before reaching the hole. 3) always have fun using the claw machine never try more than two times or three to win a plushy even if it's not the one you want, you can always buy them from a store or online otherwise you'll end up out of points you win some you lose some. 4) when you're moving the claw down towards the plushy you have to make sure that the claw reaches the middle body of the plushy and quickly press the grab button that way you'll have a better grip, it works on coast to coast claw machines but im not sure if it works on rigged ones.

as someone who set these machines up..... Winning = your skill > 1 & machine % payout > 1 If either one isn't true, you loose. If a machine is set to allow a winner once every 100 games, you ALSO Have to have the good grab on the 100th game. Some settings a bit better for the player, where after 100 losses, the game is always > 1, which means the next person who gets a good grab, with skill, they will win. Then other machines are on a line, which over time, it is more and more likely the machine will allow you to win. And other machines have even more fine settings, like 50% of the time allow the player to grab, but then 95% of the time "slip" while going up. The final tip is the best tip, stay close to the chute, because if the claw says you CAN grab, but it will drop at the top you at least might sling the prize into the chute.
