I’m self conscious about over spraying. Don’t wanna choke people out w/the scent I’m wearing. Was wearing PDM Haltane, & got a compliment the other day. Made me feel good, cause I love giving people the enjoyment of a great scent. I don’t wear cologne to get compliments, but it is a nice feeling when I do.

Yes fragrance to me is an accessory. I don't care if don't get compliments on the fragrance I'm wearing. All I care is I smell good and feeling confident. about myself. But I do get compliments from time to time men and women and even children. Makes me happy when I tell them about the fragrance I'm wearing.

The base idea imo is to be yourself and let things be. I recieved compliments when i wasn t even expencting or even smelling myself anymore. Just do the job and wear your favorite fragrance , the rest happens by nature

To me, molecule 01 is a very safe bet. I get a lot of compliments with it and there are many people that can't smell it so the risk of offending those people diminish 😅

I always compliment others when they smell good. ... i sometimes get compliments, but i can never spray to my hearts desire because some of my loved ones have allergies & are "sensitive" to fragrances. 😐 ill tell you this right now though... i will not even consider dating someone who doesn't appreciate & wear fragrance (or who favors a scent profile that i dislike) ... thats an absolute deal breaker 😅 Best wishes to them. A lil bit over the top But stand in front of a Fan Act as a defuser... Jk If you start to work early it's ok to re apply the fragrance if your scent is a low performer, just beware of scent fatigue

Such a tricky thing for me…I’m drawn to wearing unique fragrances that are less crowd pleasing, which in turn, displeases my partner. All she wants to smell on me is Creed Original Santal(which I do like, but don’t wear often)! What’s a guy to do?

Most of the compliments I get are when I'm at work, (I work in the ER) and it's usually from a colleague or another staff member. I always have my uniform clean and wrinkle-free, I stand up straight and walk with my head held high and smile often. My hair is always done, I wear a nice sporty watch and a gold chain, my shoes are always clean. I like to make people laugh and I greet my patients with a smile and make great eye contact. I feel if you are showing confidence and people perceive you as trustworthy, they're more inclined to compliment you.

Received a compliment recently by a group of nurses that I was near who noticed it smelled good and was curious as to where it was coming from. I told them "well I hope it's me", and one of them confirmed. It was Roja Elysium, one of my favorites!

I agree with you that you should wear enough to be noticed. However, the polar opposite is also true. If you wear too much it can turn people off. You have to find your sweet spot for each fragrance. Asking close friends about performance is a good way.

At 66 years of age I enjoy a wonderful freedom to compliment the occasional, say, young lady whose perfume suddenly bowls me over as simply magnificent. It's a rare occasion but it has happened maybe two or three times over the past two or three years (so, yeah, really rare). Once was at an airport check-in and the young lady checking me in was, I suddenly realized, wearing Molecule 1, and on her it was utterly transporting. I mentioned it with a smile, told her it was stunningly beautiful, and she was delighted. In such innocent settings, where I'm flitting through somebody's life with no expectation of ever seeing them again, and I'm plainly old enough to be the person's grandfather, I feel a great safety and confidence in complimenting without any suspicion of hidden agendas. And not only a young lady but I've also complimented, more rarely, a man, too. Like, "Hey, wow, what IS that scent, it's fantastic!"

I agree with everything that u are saying, but on the other hand people are just ridiculous as well. So let me tell u what happened to me at work. I was wearing Red Tobacco one day at work and as soon as I walked in my coworker said "Kesha what is that you are wearing?" I ignored her at first because I knew she would not give me a compliment to save HER LIFE. So she asked me again and I told her and she didn't say NOTHING after I told her. I work around a bunch of jealous/ sad women whose comprehension doesn't go beyond that ATROCIOUS bath and body works that they wear EVERYDAY.

It's not stupid at all, quite the opposite. Most of the time we wear/do things to be attractive to other people.
