Thanks Peter for some great stories. A lot of my friends are married to Thai bar girls and it's surprising how successful the marriages have been. They problem is that successful marriages don't make a good headline than one that goes disastrously wrong so hence people get the opinion that marrying a Thai bar girls will be a disaster; but I think the opposite is indeed the case.

great stories this week..the guy in the 3rd story probably did escape some type of bad dealing by leaving when he did...the bar he mentioned that is across from a7/dj bar (previously pj/dj) was probably shooters or rolling live, depends on if he mentioned it was an outside or inside bar...shooters definitely being the better of the two

I've never been to Thailand. At least not yet. It's on my bucket list. All of these stories I've heard here, it sounds like 99.9% of the bar girls are just for fun. It seems like if you don't fall for the scams, it can be a great place to visit.

Great stories Peter. Thanks for your time. I enjoyed. Human behavior is “psych Dynamic”, that means nothing comes out of the blue or any action we take in our life has underline reason. Again, I see first successful story merely because of similarly in culture between Thai and Bangladesh. As he said they both value Dowery and they both are very much family oriented, plus age gap was very close, as he said he was 43. I am assuming the woman was in her 30’s with one child out of the wed. lock. So that makes quite sense. In last successful story . we don’t get quite clear picture of the woman he met with 22 years age gap. Wish we knew more details about how they met, and the level of their education and many other factors, then we could more understanding of what was going on and the reason behind their successful story. He might have believed he was blessed because once Monk blessed him by tapping his head with the noodle. Who knows?

Peter, I often think your stories have a similar theme , how guys over romanticise prostitution in Thailand, and no matter their experience convince themselves their girl is different and the over consumption of alcohol don't help! Story 1, is still a game still in progress, he has got her to the UK where he will face a different set of problems. Story 2 is rare but it does happen most victims might be too scared/ashamed to report it to the Police. Story 3, the guy had no streetsense, picks up a stranger , takes her back to the room, but leaves all his cash and valuables on display? I often find it bizarre how guys form an opinion of a country based on their sole experiences with bar girls?

I often find it bizarre how guys form an opinion of a country based on their sole experiences with bar girls: Here are my thoughts on this: Several reasons that I believe lead to guys falling in love with bar-girls: Loneliness, depression, a feeling of rejection, a messy divorce, mental health issues, and a lack of communication skills, no self-esteem, a lack of judgment and a lack of confidence; the list goes on and on. Many guys do not go into bars to find love and live happily ever after with a bar-girl. They find that they are in the company of a pretty, young girl who showers them with affection and the girl seems to take a genuine interest in them which gives the guy a feeling of temporary happiness and total blindness to the real situation in front of them. The bar-girls are charming, cunning and good at what they do (They have years of practice and 1000’s of victims) it is so easy for these kinds of guys to be sucked into a situation they did not plan and end up on a down would spiral with no hope of return. It is always easier to Judge and condemn rather than to try and understand.
