Awww Joseph is like "ahh dinner is served. About time. Im hungry" and then he peacefully walks away to enjoy his meal without stressing. Im sure the elderly cats will (under the circumstances) get a better quality of life in their advanced age as they dont have to hunt themselves. Ofcourse everybody would prefer that big cats stayed in the wild but as it is, Joseph is probably looking into an easier retirement time of his life without the struggles to feed himself. And thats great to watch. These cats really deserve to be looked after and kept safe in their rescue place for the rest of their lives.

Bengal tigers are usually smaller compared to the other subspecies of tigers. Females would be smaller than the lions, and the males would most likely be about the same.

Unfortunately these big cats do not understand that they kill, hunt, and eat live prey. Our native wildlife enters their enclosure everyday. They either leave them alone, or if they are interested, they will play with it until they accidentally kill it. Then they leave the body fully intact for us to take out.

+Weirdanimalboy Actually lions have much more raw strength than lionesses, sometimes lions would come in and help if the prey is too huge and strong, after all lions are bigger than lionesses, on average they weigh 150 lbs more. And yes tigers are actually stronger than lions, even though lions are pretty darn strong, they stand no chance against tigers, tigers are simply bigger than them. Siberian tigers are actually the 2nd strongest land predators (weighing up to 700 lbs) after the polar bear (which are more than twice as big as Siberian tigers, weighing up to nearly a ton!)

+Time Traveler Yes, on average tigers are somewhat heavier than lions, probably a bit more muscular too, but at the end difference is so small that it doesn't really matter. Both cats are pretty much the same weight and strenght category. As a side note: modern Bengal tigers are actually slightly bigger than Siberian. The biggest confirmed wild tiger ever was also Bengal (390 kg). Siberian tigers might had been on the top sometimes in the past, but this is not the case any more. They are "shrinking", so to say.

Male lions are happier in rescued areas where they are fed and taken care of. In the wild, when male lions are past their primes, they are usually outcast and most likely die because they can't hunt for their own food. But in captivity, it's perfect for them. In this video, you can tell Joseph the Lion is happy to eat and he is so docile and calm. While the 3 tigers are aggressive as can be when feeding time.

Yeah, I think some of the tigers are just a little food aggressive, since they are used to having to fight for their food where they came from. I think the camera person usually does a good job of backing off when they are getting a little possessive of their treats hehe.
