4 Types of Gomphrena: Plant Spotlight!

Ready for a look at one of my favorite plants? Gomphrena! This baby gets 2 to 3 feet tall and wide once the weather starts heating up and has beautiful pom pom blooms on tall stems. My favorite is Proven Winners Truffula Pink but this year I've added 3 other varieties to my garden. Today we're planting a new variety and taking a look at the ping pong white and raspberry cream that I grew from seed. I love that Truffula pink comes back every year in our zone so let's see how the rest of these gomphrena stack up!

What type of Gomphrena does best in high humidity?

As far as the different colors or plants go there's differences but all gomphrena is overall the same plant... any would do great in high humidity. It just depends on whether you want to grow it from seed or if you want to try and over winter it.

Just gorgeous. I find it impossible to be anything but HAPPY whenever I see those perfect balls of vivid color. I am off now to try to find some seeds for the elusive red version. ❤❤❤
