what if your oil is not low and you just want to change your oil at home? How do you know your new oil is at the correct level?

@@GeniusAsian i normally change it at home on a slop. I drain all of it, or most of it. Then i put in the amount it says in the instruction manual. I've never had problems. Your method is fantastic, however I'm just adding that folks should be checking those levels more frequently. I do at every single fuel refill which for me is 2-3 times a week.

@@GeniusAsian i check it again when i put gas in the car. Honda specifies that as long as oil level is between the 2 dots, I'm fine. Again, I've never had a problem. My car has almost 300,000 miles, no engine light. But keep in mind i drive often, therefore i check my oil levels frequently at many different locations. I also change the oil frequently because I do it myself. Someone who drives infrequently might want to try the rather involved method outlined in the video.

Wing it with method 1 is more than good enough. Method 2 is out of this world! How can you risk driving to the alternate location when the oil is at low mark?!

you should not drive anywhere when oil is low. You should calibrate when low is not low.

Just jack the car until level smh

what if you don't have a jack? if you have a large slope, your jack may not be high enough, and it may not be as safe.
