I have camped at Munja and there is not a hope in Hades you would catch me near that waters edge. Everything we caught was chased in by salties, we have footage of crocs chasing the sharks we caught. No more than 2 feet from the waters edge a croc burst out of the water with a muddy in its mouth and by pure blind luck I got a photo of it. Spectacular. I have to hand it you blokes, it's a tough place to get to just to go through all that at the camp.We camp further around the corner at the very end of the track and fished off the small cliffs about 20 metres back because the banks can cave in with the tides. Next time we will set up base camp at Bachstan and then head out to Munja (Walcott Inlet). Awesome stuff, huge effort.

Just a bit close to the croc's mate. 1980 when working on Groote Eylandt I was fishing one of the little river mouths with 3 mates. We camped about 250 metres back from the water in sand dunes. 3:00ish in the morning we were woken by a massive croc in between our tents. I believe it was seconds away from one of us being dragged off. Very scary, they don't make much noise & if grabbed by the head you aren't getting any second chance.

Absolutely brilliant Ronny. Thanks so much. I’m watching this series in the second lockdown. I like your commentary and the way you show us the things that go wrong, like the tyre punctures. The drone footage is perfect as it’s just the right speed to take in the scenery. And I love the music with the drone footage too. Just perfect.

Great episode. They just keep getting better & better in this series. It’d be a shame if u went full on commercial, but you need to get picked up by a commercial tv station and have a weekly show beaming this into our homes in Sundays. Your stuff is pure gold. I like ur plates, Ronny. Just wondering... Do they say Sleep Apnea or Sleep in Here? As for the night drive, it adds to the value if you do that once every now and then. We did that in Cape York, drive past midnight in a few places. Not always ideal at the time because you’re unfamiliar with the terrain, but the next day or day after you’re always glad you did it for the experience.
@Ronny_Dahl6 жыл бұрын
TV is dying, the future is on the internet... I can't remember the last time I even watched TV. Too many adds and too much BS. Google Sleipnir for the full answer. Night driving is so much fun and really ads the the adventure, I almost don't know any different hahahaha. Thanks for the feedback mate, much appreciated
@northzero23906 жыл бұрын
The tv producers would insist on camp fall-outs to spice things up like American Chopper, ruined by arguments that the producers wanted more of. It soon became about the feuding family rather than the bike building. Keep it advert free and off the TV. Don't break a winning channel.

Wonder why you didn't just drag the boat with 50m strap, so retrailing vehicle remains on solid ground. Then when boat is up on dry ground, just back the trailer under it. Winch down the last 1.5m and done. Spending time with feet in waters each just making things boggy not my idea of fun.
