Does this mic system offer true 4 channel recording (each mic on it's own channel) or does this system offer 4 microphones mixed into a single stereo pair of audio recording channels?

I think these are pretty cool but I'm not sure how you can pull separate audio tracks from each mic? Could you maybe do a tutorial showing how two mics could be used at the same time and edited as two separate tracks for post production?

so there are two options for the 4 mic mixing, you can do stereo where 1/2 will be on left and 3/4 will be on right, or you can do mono, where all 4 tracks recorded separately. so f you want them separated for post, just record in mono, and adjust to stereo in post :)

I'm just about to do a review on these myself, Firstly, the denoise (noise cancelling) is horrendously useless, and barely removes any noise whatsoever Secondly the distance test with the dw40 claims 200meters (660 feet), but mine struggled to get 60 feet at a push in open ground Thirdly the dB gain is so minimal that it's hard to tell any difference from setting 1 to 4 Fourthly 7RYMES claim 5 hrs usage on each microphone but on my test it barely managed 3hrs And finally the sound quality on the dw40 was so horrendous that even one of my unbranded cheap and cheerful £45 wireless lavalier microphones done a far better job than these. I'm going to be honest with you and say that on your video you clearly have the Microphones mixed up, and as I also have the DJI MIC2 , I can definitely say the the dji mic2's would gobble up the iRay dw40 without even burping. Seriously, both units of the dw40 (as I thought the 1st one was faulty) gave the worst performance and sound reproduction that I've ever experienced and for a unbranded £45 set of wireless lavalier microphones to walk all over these is a statement in itself. Out of all 45 sets of wireless lavalier microphones from the cheapest of £15 to the most expensive of £489 (shure movemic two) the iRay dw40 sits at number 7 spot of being the worst that I've ever used and tested TWICE ! Honestly, keep it real, truthful and don't let the freebies that you get sent you force you into saying differently out of appreciation, your subscribers and viewers will appreciate your channel a lot more, and your channel will grow 100x faster .... great visuals, clear stable footage and excellently executed, though

I’m not sure why you think I’m saying these are comparable to a mic 2, I clearly say twice, they are not, they don’t sound as good as the mic 2 in 16bit recorded to the op3 as 24bit raw off the dw40. I’m not sure if you got 2 bad sets, but you can see the audio tests in the video, you can clearly see and hear when I push the noise cancelling, it turn on and its effects to the audio. It does a low pass, and it’s noticeable and passable, especially for the price. I didn’t switch the audio or do anything in post besides normalize 14lufs and peaks for volume consistency for the video. Viewers can hear the audio that comes from this mic in real time as I did without any manipulation to said audio at any stage in the process. The whole point of the video was to let the viewers make up their mind on the audio quality. This is my copies audio quality. I stand by my conclusion. For $150 currently, this is a good “cheap” 4 set of lav mics that do everything they claim to in my testing “not bad” I didn’t test the battery life, or full range test as this was just an initial impressions and I stated I will do a full review once I’ve used them for their intended purpose, 4 people mixed. It’s fine to disagree with people, but to accuse them of manipulating test results in any way shape or form is a shitty thing to do. I didn’t, and can prove this in any capacity needed. This is the raw audio from the dw40 lav and the dji mic 2 as connected to op3. And viewers can make up their own mind.

@YoukayTV Honestly I wasn't accusing you of anything, as one Tech person to another, its just odd how my results from not one but two bought microphones, can produce such different results, maybe the quality of the Microphones that are being sold in the United States are more upto gather than what we have here in the UK (I've seen this happen before) Your channel has great visuals, and is extremely good in how everything is presented, Again as a tech reviewer I was almost drawn into making things sound and more appealing, because I felt somewhat obliged because I felt honoured in testing and keeping something for free, but the whole ideal of my Tech channel being started was to say it how it is (so to speak) as I've bought Tech after watching some big named Techies, hype it up, only to feel let down massively once I'd bought it, so I've stuck to my guns on that one.... this is why my channel (on a different account) was created Maybe I've had two bad sets, agreed but that'll be such a rare thing to happen OR maybe you've gotten lucky and had a good set, who knows? Anyways, apologies if I came across as accusing, trust me I wasn't and I'd hate to think that I did or was, that's not how I am You've got a great channel and personally I think that your going to go a long way. 👍

Appreciate the words mate, unfortunately as I hinted at in the intro, there's a LOT of Chinese audio gear coming out daily, and a lot of it is straight up junk, I've either turned down, or not made a video on some of the crap I've been sent, This mic kit was not too bad at all as far as cheap Chinese audio goes, for me at least, my set was pretty darn good for the price, the next closest with this feature set was $250, and I bet it performed more than half as good as that, and being sent bum products is nothing new, remember the rodecaster debacle? reviewers got jacked machines 3,4,5 times in a row, lol. it does happen, and a working DW 40 kit is a fairly solid beginner piece of kit. I'll be more transparent moving forward, I've got all the raw recordings left from this review, including the premier edit file, instead of just playing the samples and saying "trust me bro" i could upload the raw stuff to google drive ad add a link in the description for anyone concerned about being lied to. I didn't hard sell this kit, like i have many other products I truly love, but I also tried to give credit where credit is due. either way 7RYMS need to get their act together and get the EU market the same gear they are sending to the US market or they will be in for a world of trouble with EU and UK reviewers like yourself!
