4-Year-Old Meets Man Who Blocked Hockey Puck From Hitting Him

A hockey puck goes flying into the crowd at a Cleveland Monsters game. It nearly hit a 4-year-old boy sitting in the stands. A man with quick instincts blocked it. I'll say this, since I see people speaking on it. When something is coming at people, full speed, people's body react seconds before they think of what to do. The mother tried protecting herself. That's just the way her muscles reacted. She's not a terrible mother.

I think maybe she wasn't aware of how much damage a puck can do. She also was looking down and might not have known it was a puck. I think someone told her later, after the game, and suggested the man risked a broken arm. After finding out the true severity of the situation, she probably wanted to thank the man. That's my guess. I didn't grow up around hockey and I had no idea how much damage a puck can do until I saw a viral video. Anyway, the guy has great reflexes and I'm glad she got to thank him.
