I've been to both a winter and summer SacAnime. Pros & cons to both, so I'm actually not sure which one I prefer. [x

I do both. Summer has more families where winter is mostly adults. I honestly prefer winter.

I did SacAnime this past weekend! I had a great time and definitely want to do it again. I understand what you mean about the loyal fan base. People knew I was new and wasn't from there lol. I traveled from Texas.

Great vid, never been to SacAnime. Would love to try it out sometime. You had mentioned in the vid that drove up there. Did you use a rental or your own vehicle? That's something that ran across my mind when thinking about doing the show. I'm in SoCal.

I drive my own car but know several other vendors who have decided to either drive up in their own car (bc more affordable) or rent one for more space

@@Mualcaina I used to do conventions a long, long time ago. Back then me and my business partner at the time would rent a van to take all our stuff to cons far away from LA. I mostly did the art so I never knew how much was the rental but the thought was. For far away cons' we would use a rental to not destroy our little junky cars. LOL, I think realistically it was so that we wouldn't leave us stranded in our junkers and miss the con. With prices now adays I don't know if it would be worth it. Do you worry about the wear and tear on your car when driving to far away cons?

Good luck at ALA! I was super busy since I was solotabling but I'm so happy that I got to swing by at the end of the con and gift u a sticker!! Hope to see you at a future event you're such a kind person to talk to!! Also totally second the loyal attendees comment so many people came by asking if i'd be at sac summer and I was like haha idk man xDD The art contest is a bit confusing too I won the summer 24 one so I was expecting them to have my design so I could buy the shirt I designed but they were like sorry man sold out during the summer sales and I was a little bummed :(( totally recommend the art contest tho !!! saved out on 250 and the fear of not getting picked in lottery xD
