For problem 7 how did you know that the imaginary component of the impedance is a capacitive reactance and not inductive or both?

It's a capacitive reactance because the imaginary component has a negative value.

So how will you know if it is an inductive reactance or both?

Good, you should understand that, if XL >XC the RLC circuit is inductive hence the imaginary value will be positive. If XC > XL the circuit is capacitive and the imaginary value is negative, but if they are the same, ie XC = XL they cancel eachother and the circuit behaves like a pure resistive circuit
