I originally did a 40 day decluttering challenge spread over 40 days. I have since decided to Re- edit these as one whole video for viewer continuity. They are however still available as Day 1, 39 & 40 in their individual original form. I think there are also 2 others. But here they are all back to back seemlessly for viewer pleasure….

I am doing this challenge as a fundraiser but also in place of my grandmas usual abstinence and temperance over the 40 day period of lent. That runs from February 14th to March 28th. She is no longer capable due to her dementia. I would like to honour her and this time in the christian calendar. That can teach everyone about the treacherous ways of gluttony or greed regardless of religion. Which I think is actually quite in keeping with a minimalist value system.
Come with me on this 40 day decluttering challenge to see what else I declutter from my shared minimalist home. There will be a before and after home tour too. Which will hopefully result in there being even less clutter in our home.

I watch so many videos on this topic, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one. As for your hard water problem. Have you ever thought about adding a water filter and changing the shower head… As for the salt shaker try adding some rice to the salt canister this way it should absorb any moisture. I really love your boho style. Many thanks to you. I now have the urge to let go of even more stuff… Ps. You can sharpen a serrated edge knife. But can I suggest something that was told to me and that is. Make google your friend. If you don’t know something, ask google and 9 times out of 10 you’ll get the answers that you are after. It truly is remarkable how you can learn more from google than from our school days.

What’s ironic about minimalism ( referring to your video before this) is that it gets harder to rebrand and package for you tube videos as there is only so much you can do before you repeat yourself again on topics already covered because you have now simplified your home which is wonderful feeling. Haha, I live in the US and most people here are the opposite about eggs. The white ones are associated with being cheap and lower quality and the brown ones are associated with being more earthy, farm-fresh, etc. I don’t think there’s really much of a difference but if anyone here had an aesthetic preference for egg shells they’d definitely think the brown ones looked nicer.

You are so hilarious about containers. For how minimalist you are. I have a problem with glass containers. I use all glass dishware, bake ware and bowls. I keep plastic containers that I know can't be recycled until they become clutter to me.

Yes when I filmed the original I thought the videos would be too long. So I filmed in 3 batches. I released 40 different videos daily. Ranging from 3 to 10 minutes over a period of 40 days. I don’t think people enjoyed the shorter videos. So I decided to re- edit them all as one afterall 😂
