We went to Split, Croatia in March. I used Rick’s guide downloaded to my Kindle. In Munich airport, during our layover, I whatsapped his top guide and she was available and thankful for the business. Many people had canceled bc of unrest in Ukraine. I have traveled a lot during Covid and post Covid starting September 2021 when Portugal, Spain and France reopened. Things are a bit different but the Europeans were grateful to hear our accents. We got to do and see things we’d never have gotten to do, when it was going full throttle. Rick’s guides downloaded on our phones a big part of our success. Porto in September and the Camino. I will be using your guides again!

@@andrewmarks4640 we stayed just outside of the Diocletian palace overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Our hotel balcony was sheltered so sunshine poured upon it and was very warm during the day but our walks were quite windy! We were there 2 nights before heading to Bosnia Herzegovina.

At 4:30 you show and talk about your "Grid". I suggestion you show and tell about how you create and what's on your "Grid". I feel it would/could be useful to your viewers. So that they can use the same process.

Did the Venice, Florence, Rome tour in May and it was wonderful seeing those places again thru Rick's eyes! We did have two people who caught COVID during the tour one in Florence and one at the end while we were in Rome. The tour helped everyone out and gave refunds to those affected. We headed on to Munich and Berlin on our own, but I wish now we'd done it with a tour insteadl. Looking forward to my next Rick Steeves tour sometime after the credit cards are paid down! LOL. Hopefully France or Belgium.

We were in Italy 11 May through 28th and had a great time. Having done our homework (thank you Rick Steves guide books) we visited some of our favorite places in Venice, Florence and Cinque Terre and added some new ones. We did Bologna - on purpose - and spent some wonderful time near Greve in Chianti on an agri-turismo estate with a wonderful restaurant. A highlight of our trip, which we would have missed had it not been for the Venice guide book, was the Frari Church in Venice which is amazing. Tremendous art "in situ". We had no problems resulting from COVID other that issues with an on-line COVID test service recommended by our airline that was a disaster. Fortunately we dodged that bullet. Thank you Rick Steves for a wonderful time in Italy.

they lie about the lift at the duomo! there's one going up but not coming down. if you're afraid of heights or get vertigo, i'd skip it. coming down, it's a spiral staircase in increments of 3 or 4 steps and then a short landing. no hand rails. my legs were pretty shaky by the time i hit the ground floor. but the views were spectacular.

fun video - thanks! i look forward to the next season. a few comments: (1) loved mad max tours. my kids and i took their trip from bath to stonehenge, avebury, castle combe and bibury in 2016 and it was fabulous! (2) i don’t understand your emphasis on wearing a backpack as a day bag. i would never wear a backpack in athens or anywhere else due to pickpockets. instead, i recommend a crossbody bag/sling with anti-theft features. my pacsafe bags have never let me down.

Rick...it's not "fear of immigrants" ... I am an immigrant to America. We don't like illegal immigration. Plus, you talk about culture...and THEY (your left wing peeps) want to change THE VERY same culture you celebrate. so please, don't be a hypocrite, just to make money. Preserve the culture you are off which you have been making money

Ah, Rick...such a great world traveler, but forever trapped in the progressive political echo chamber. Great travel advice, but ignore the ignorant political comments. Eat the meat and spit out the bones. Rick: Tell me you didn't read the Florida bill without telling me you didn't read the Florida bill. You just embarrass yourself.
@jillspeck6400

Please stop with the political commentary. In the first place, you don’t know what you’re talking about. You’re merely parroting MSNBC’s talking points, which are factually inaccurate. Secondly, it’s bad business. Are you intentionally trying to offend HALF of your audience? Seriously. It’s annoying. Just stick to travel, please.

Thank you Jill. Wouldn't it be great if there was a specific tour of Hungary highlighting how the country is actively incentivizing the formation of families and having children? We are in fact at the precipice of a catastrophic population decline, while America fritters away time arguing over toilet rights and other nonsense.
