Omg! I literally just bought this today. I've never used or had one before, so I was a bit confused as to if it was assembled, or if I had to assemble it myself. and now I'm just glad that you shared this video☺☺

Problem with this fryer is that it doesn't maintain temperature. When the ready light goes on, it means the oil is at temp. When you immerse food the light goes off and stays off until you pull food, you then have to wait for the light to come on again. It's the reason food always takes longer than recommended time to cook.

No, that's supposed to be there. It covers the slots so you don't get oil splattering out.
