I didn’t use to feel that way until I got a g-shock for work have been using it for about 2 years just gave it to my son this weekend as he wanted a watch and just ordered this Casio to replace it.side note I did just get a datejust two tone with jubilee for my none work time

It doesn't look gaudy to me, it's looks stylish and individual. A gaudy watch is something like a big vulgar G Shock in a vivid colour.
