Dear John Varghese, If you want to understand Lord Krishna then just focus on the Bhagvad Gita and the Srimad Bhagvatam. If you want to know more about Lord Shiva then read the scriptures such as the Agamas etc...or dive deep into the great literature of Kashmir Shaivism.
