Hey fellas, I have an idea that I think might be super helpful for a lot of us. I’ve watched almost all your videos and the best part is when you tell us what calls you used to call these pups in. Maybe you can put like a "currently playing" in one of the corners of the video post edit when you’re calling for them? I have everything you guys use from the revolt call to the lucky duck predator seat and the swagger bipod. Love it all! I just wish I knew what sounds you were using and maybe something displaying what’s playing could save you from telling us constantly and it could be more consistent so we could learn which calls work for you. Just a thought, keep up the great videos and great shooting! Thanks for all you do for the community 🫡

I've thought the same thing. A list of sounds and their duration for each stand, and when a coyote was spotted. Would just help come up with ideas on our own stands.

I agree this would be nice but I totally get why they don’t. It’s a ton of work to try and keep track of all that. If you were videoing the entire hunt you could also keep track of it pretty easily but i’m sure to reserve battery life and hrs of needless video editing they record some and then turn it off til there is action. Try videoing a hunt of your own or 2 and then editing it how you are recommending. You will soon see why they do it the way they do. Ps. If you do then tag me, I’d love to see your hunts. subscriber in advance. I also listen to Geoff’s podcast and he mentions there that they use 4 rabbit calls for 80% and fights and distress depending on the time of yr. It’s a pretty easy recipe.🤟Try it for 2-3 mins and then change it. goto another stand after 8-20 mins depending on area.

Awesone🎉 Love the tips n tricks. Sometimes it’s little things that you might take for granted. I just got my Swagger and have had it in a few stands now. Loving it!!! In this video at 2:48 just watching how you quickly put the swagger away is helpful. It’s also nice to see the pros struggle! Then us less seasoned guys don’t feel so bad when we struggle. Ok it drives us nuts but at least we’re not alone. If coyote calling was one emoji it would be this😂🤦‍♂️🥳🤯🥵🎉🎉🎉😢🎉🎉❤😂😂😂

That was certainly a big Yote!! Do you ever see any evidence that would support the theory of wolves and coyotes cross breeding! I have read articles that claim due to reduced wolf populations in some areas the wolves are breeding with coyotes producing what they describe as Coyo-wolf… having some larger head and teeth characteristics with longer more muscular bodies.

Every one of a pest species counts. Love your wild country. Last week, my hunting consisted of shooting four field rats in my back yard whilst sitting in my living room on the sofa arm resting on on my stick. My wife disappeared into the kitchen because she does'nt like to see animals shot. The third rat twitched about six feet across the patio. I heard a yell from her, "It's still alive!" She was only watching the patio CCTV camera on her phone. !!!!!

Okay, I've taken a lot of flak over saying that Geoff waves his hands around and his head is on a swivel always moving. Everyone has been saying that he has shot more coyotes than I ever will in my life. Well, that may be, but I am 70 years old and started hunting when I was 6. I hear him making excuses for coyotes coming in a certain distance and then moving away, saying that they are just doing that today. In my experience hunting, your prey is looking for anything that is out of place. Movement where it doesn't belong, is out of place. I am guessing that if he had been totally still, those skittish coyotes would have kept coming in. They didn't because they saw him moving.

You ever hunted with a camera crew? There’s a lot of factors that could be causing them to act that way. You might be right, less movement is always better. I know it’s not as easy to get into the stand and get good shots when you have a camera crew. I know Layne personally - He and Geoff are some of the best I’ve ever seen. Fun to watch them in this episode!
