be thankful for the background. most people begin with flawed thinking and achive flawed conclusions because they don't have it.

So great to find Chucks teaching on Matthew again. The last one I found for three years only had a partial of this study. We surly need it in these times. Thank you for posting this. God bless you for taking the time and making the effort to do this. MARANATHA, AND SHALOM. BARUK HABBA B' SHEM ADONI Walter 💖

Matthew says Jesus was born in a house but Look says a manger or stable...Please explain
@TheReconciled3 жыл бұрын
I don't recall that being mentioned but I could be wrong. The discussion has always been either a cave or manger. I believe it's a combination. A cave in hillside used as a manger...even then, not sure that matters much. The important part is that Jesus was born...the Savior was born...

The house (mat 2:11) where the wise men visited Jesus was not the same place where Jesus was born. The key to understanding this is in Mat 2:16 because herod killes children 2 years and younger acourding the TIME that ge got from the wise men. He would only kill children at that age if he thought Jesus might be 2 years old already. Also Mat 2:11 also says the wise men saw the "child" compared this to Luke 2:11-12 where it mentions "born this day" and "baby" when the shepherds visited Jesus. I know we are used to the pictures of the wise men bringing gifts to Jesus in a stall with the animals around, bit its wrong, the sheperds viseted Jesus at his birth and the wise men brought gifts when he was a bit older. Hope this helps
