Real hack: Before playing on a muddy field, spray the bottom of your cleats with non-stick cooking spray. A teammate used to keep a can in his bag and it worked for our whole team. Other teams would sometimes catch on and send a parent to the store. Mud won't stick and you'll run faster and cut better. Less cleaning too.
