As a "victim" of both my mother's and father's promiscuity and 30 marriages and ensuing divorces in my immediate family of brothers and sisters, I can not tell you how devasting it is on children. There is SO much dysfunction and alcoholism, drug use, and promiscuity involved. In my case, it is like a big elephant I the room but no one talks about it. It is so obvious, and yet it continues to go on and on.

Marriage is difficult but you take a vow when you get married. My husband and I stayed together through thick and thin, 53 years before he died 6 years ago. The Hollywood lifestyle is filled with temptations, I’m glad my life was very ordinary.

@ I think my belief in fidelity is one strong reason we stayed together. The other is my understanding neither of us were perfect so forgiveness for slights and other annoyances is important. I guess you could say tolerance, but I don’t think I could have forgiven infidelity!

!Married 3 times you say almost with chock in your voice! My mother , not an actress just regular nurse in my home country of Sweden was married 3 times, first to my father in 1940, divorced 2 1/2 years later followed by 2 other marriage and 2 more divorces. She had many live in relationships but in the end she ended up single at the age of 99 in Stockholm, Sweden 🇸🇪. Her fondness for men made my childhood quite turbulent and not very happy 😢

@ I’ve ended up with trust issues all my life, now I’m in my mid80:s and still working on them. It also ruined the relationship with my mother but now when she, the step monster ad the other men are all dead I don’t care!

😮 I'm shocked at hear of some with 9 marriage s under their belt, but the one that stood out the most for me was Jerry Lee Lewis 😳 I always thought his cousin was his first wife 😳 which I did think was a lot iffy but to now find out about 2 of his wives dying 😢 seems more than a bit odd or a bit suspicious maybe, I loved his music 🎶 and his energetic way he played the piano 🎹 while jumping around it and the stage... I watched his life story film too on video many years ago and I admired him as a big star I didn't know until recently that his cousin/wife was only 13 years 😳 I'd always thought she was 15 like priscila presley and even that is way to young... illegal in the UK but I understand it was nothing unusual in certain states of America at that time... it still is seriously frowned upon in the UK but its also a sex offense 😳 and so it should be everywhere... I for one am happy that much older men can be prosecuted for going with someone that young.. A 13, 14, 15, year old doesn't know their own mind...

The death of 2 of wives is definitely one too much. Today that might be investigated. He seems a bit like Diddy.... My mother , before marrying my father had a flirt with a man whose two previous wives had committed suicide... I ended up marrying , and divorcing 3 times. The wife of my first husband might have committed suicide , a singlehanded car accident..
