A common misconception is that the rake can hear you and is attracted to light. Really, no. You can use your light and talk all you want (maybe on the radio) and he won’t come. He is solely based off your location near him. He has 120 stud activation radius meaning that if u enter that radius, he’ll follow u and hunt u down. Regardless of sound and light. Not to sure if flare attracts but best to use during daytime.

@@Jonah71204 Not only xbox kids, new brainless guys that literally turn on every source of light of every location, those ones who literally close the door and turn on the safe house/tower light at the day, those who literally make you die by standing on the door of the safe house (that happened to me yesterday, some stupid girl opened the door while the rake was going in a straight line to the door, didn't even moved, she stayed there like it was nothing and ending being a massacre for that girl.)

not that good honestly, i can give out reasons why and some tips aswell: firstly, he wasted stamina at night obviously like other people said, and when he gets chased he uses the full bar even when he looses the Rake when there's still plenty of stamina left, he doesn't even save points which is crucial, even if you don't wanna kill the Rake and he mostly stays in the safe house which is basically a shortcut to victory but i do understand its "good" in some cases i guess. now the tips, imagine power runs out, and it's still a long way for the night to end, walk in circles on the borders of the map and if you encounter run the opposite way along the borders till it turns day and someone or you turn the power on, don't waste stamina obviously, if you hear the scream the Rake does when he chases someone go where you stay the farthest from it if you don't like being chases or you just want to stay away from him, now for blood hour: obviously it's hard cause the power goes off, so here's how to survive, go along the borders again and stay away from the screams he does that's basically it, or stay at the leaderboards and pray you make it, or have a bear trap and stay in any corner of the map and place the trap infront of you, if the Rake ends up coming to you, you will the trap is 100% SAVING your life, and the vitamins aswell so i recommend you have one in your inventory specially for when you are injured and run slow so the Rake can catch up, so use it and for blood hour when the Rake steps on the trap you planted. that's it
