I agree. I wonder if there's enough for a second volume if this one sells well?

Finally got my copy today. Well worth the forty year wait. I've got quite a few Creepy archives but Scream has a British sensibility that reminds me of childhood. Not that Creepy isn't great too. So glad it's selling so well. The first run seemed to vanish in days hence the long estimated delivery times. Glad i got in quickly.

My all time favourite comic as a kid. I was gutted when Issue 16 never materialised. I LOVED The Nightcomers, and was desperate for the promised "New adventure" next time. It would be about 35 years before it was finally published as a free pull-out supplement in Judge Dredd Megazine - obviously I was all over that when it came out. My copy of 40 Years came a couple of weeks ago and it's such a lovely thing. So well reproduced and printed - just a shame that the glossy pages don't quite have the nostalgia factor of the old newsprint it used to come on. I'd have liked to have seen the Holiday Specials included, but I can see why they weren't for a few reasons (page count, stories were sometimes reproduced from the main title). However, i hear rumblings that TOBC are working on a separate volume to cover those. How accurate that is, I don't know, but I'll be chuffed if it's true. Aside from The Nightcomers, 13th Floor, Monster and Dracula Files, I also LOVED the different one-shot collections The Library Of Death and A Ghastly Tale which were equivalents of Future Shocks, I suppose. Two stick in my mind more than the rest - The Drowning Pond and Green Fingers - the latter because although it was supposed to be humorous, I found the idea of having accidentally killed your mother utterly horrific. I just wish I hadn't read my old copies until they fell apart, and then thrown them out. But you cna say that about any childhood item - toys, clothes, etc. I guess I wouldn't love it so much if I'd not read them so often!

It's a lovely collection, isn't it? I'd be happy for a second volume covering the specials. A few years ago I was on a mission to fill the gaps in my 2000AD collection (with thanks to Ebay and Incognito Comics). I bought myself those 15 Scream issues again as well as the short run of Starlord comics.

I was 10 circa 84 & a BUSTER reader (well any comic i could get my hands on really) & vividly remember "SCREAM" being advertised a few weeks prior to release in various comics, Whizzer & chips, Buster etc, So the anticipation was building for weeks, I still remember the excitement of buying the First Issue of Scream with free fangs & pouring over every page, Magic times...

Fantastic memories. I'm a similar age and still clearly remember arguing with my mum that the comic would not give me nightmares. I HAD to have it!

Thanks for the video. It's because of you that I found that this was available, and finally got it from eBay, as it immediately sold out and is out of print! I was 10 in 1984 and, like you, lapped these up, with The Dracula File being my favourite. Unfortunately, my parents went through a bit of a Christian fundamentalist phase and ended up binning the lot in the autumn of 1984, hence me being really pleased to now have a copy of all 15 issues in hard copy! Thanks again!

Great video!! I'm definitely to be picking up a copy of your book. As a kid, I remember Marvel used to publish a horror series in the 70s. There was Tomb of Dracula, a Frankenstein, and Werewolf by Night. I used to love those comics. Keep up the great work!!

As a kid around 6 I was into the 80s era The Eagle and I'm sure Scream crossed over or got morphed into The Eagle as 13th Floor with Max I remember and the rampaging T Rex (Bloodfang??). And other dark twisted stories from that era of The Eagle - such good memories
