To everyone wondering why this stuff is soo expensive. It’s because all of these fingerboards are hand made, most of the other parts are too. These people who build the fingerboards do this to make a living, and building these takes many hours upon hours to fill quotas for stores. you know what’s a waste of money? Phones, they cost 100 dollars to make and cost 10x as much, and they break so easily anyways, not to mention they’re mass produced in factories in Asia. Everyone wastes their money on things, so take a chill pill

For EVERYBODY hating; (This is my opinion, not yours) #1. How come you're so upset about him spending $400 on fingerboards? It's his money, not yours. #2. Fingerboarding is a hobby that people do for fun! How come you get so pissed over someone having fun with a hobby? Fingerboarding is something you can do when it's a nasty day outside and can't skate, or just want to do it because it's fun for them.I'm trying to learn to skateboard, but since I live in Michigan where it rains alot, I have to fingerboard until then. It's surprising, but fingerboarders have lives you know. Come to think of it, Skateboarding is a fun hobby too(sport since it uses a lot of physical coordination). What if fingerboarders attacked you for spending, IDK, 400 bucks on skateboarding stuff? Does it make sense to you? Probably not, but if he's having fun, let him have fun.

At tech deck was like $3 back when they came out and I'm not sure why you would need any better quality than them I never wore out grip tape or anything they last years unless you step on them

blg020 apparently its easier to hit tricks on a Fingerboard ( Wood ). i practiced for 2 weeks and cant even hit an ollie on my Techdeck ;(

essentially in the fingerboarding world, tech deck is a walmart/ target board, where as an actual fingerboard is a miniature replica, actual plys of wood, pop and trucks that actually work. also, not sandpaper for griptape. its logical for an actual skateboard because shoes grip to that material, so tech decks grip tape is awful. Real fingerboards have a foam type of griptape so which creates more grip for the texture of skin, being your fingers.
