■ INDIA, AHMEDABAD: Although I didn't really need a haircut, after seeing an awesome looking barber with a make-shift shop on the pavement, I decided to sit down for one. So what's his story and the nature of is one man business? What hairstyle did I go for? And was he better than the Delhi hairdresser?

This is so wholesome. He built his business for 10 years with a family. He charges 20 rupees (only 30¢) for a 10+ minute haircut that with honest skill. He is given a lot of money and INSTANTLY buys tea for him, his translators, and anyone who walks by. He’s a light in the dark of India.

@@TSC369 There is a very simple explanation, i converted the 20Rs to dollars, then i divided $400 (From the title) by 20Rs, that, 8 months earlier (when i made the comment) had a different conversion rate and probably rounded values from Harold. It shaved a bit from the haircuts' number (See what i did here?) : BUT , having it all done in Rupies is the best way to go.

He told me he got featured in local news also and by God's grace everything is going good and lots of people visited him after the video. And his shop now had shade to protect from sun and painted board with prices. In the end he even thanked for me coming and told me take care. And the construction of the building is completed 😆

Keep in mind that number could be slightly more or less, of course. But, still, he works 12 hours for $6. Harald just gave him 67 days work in one shot. Over 2 months of this man working 12 hours days in order to make $400. 804 hours of work. Very impressive, and so humbly received by offering to buy Harald and a few others a cup of tea. Cool shit.

@@shashiram9889 nah it's a female & well trained. She is a very pretty Hispanic barber. They usually don't charge too much. In the USA you have to go to school In order to become a professional barber. They are really very good what they do. Some of my Indian coworkers don't go to any barber shop, they do it at home. Our Indian manager cut his hair by himself, though it looks horrible but he is happy to save some money. By the way he has 2 cars & a house his wife also makes lot of money. Guess some peoples can't change their habit
