You can tell that Mr. Peterson spent a great deal of time putting these together, but the big hits were few and far between and no way did they return $400 in value - especially considering there are no chasers. Too many of these mystery packs are just guys trying to rid themselves of cards they have lying around and not including enough quality vs quantity.

$400 is outrageous, I mean holy 😂 I always feel bad ripping on peoples mystery packs because you can tell they put hard work and passion into them, but man every single auto was an absolute junk hit that would go in a $10 bin at the card show

That was awful! Should not include Garret Anderson autos in a $430 mystery pack or so many panini cards or Topps holiday relics and then the slab is PSA 9. Even included rookies we’ve never heard of. Definitely got hosed on that one

400 seems pretty steep too much Leaf and no name autos for that i also think all mystery packs should state the ceiling price for the best pack, the floor price for worst pack , and average pack ROI. also prefer having a checklist too

A little too much Leaf products for me. The PSA hits could have been 10's instead of 9's. The Tatis and Guerrero cards in a 10 aren't that expensive.

These feel more “quantity over quality”. Also one of my pet peeves is people putting PSA9’s as a hit in a “high-end” mystery pack. For example, that PSA 9 Bo Bichette Sepia is a $25 card. In my opinion this should not be a hit in a $400 mystery pack product. I think it’s better to receive a couple of big cards worth around $400, then it is to receive 50 low end cards that all add up to $400.

Now we know how he's feeding his collection. Sells the junk and sprinkles in some nice cards, pockets $3500+ and buys more boxes or collections and repeats the process. That's my theory.

I wish people would stay away from making "chaser" mystery packs and just pack all the value into each one. Very few people nail the chaser packs, it's very difficult to balance the weight of the chaser cards to the filler. 400 is A LOT of money for a couple good cards and a bunch of panini/leaf/low end autos etc....I do not believe Reagan or most people who do these and fall short are doing it deliberately or to scam people. There really is an art to making mystery packs.

Always love these videos Jabs Grade = D A lot of $2-$5 auto's, $2-$5 #'d cards...overall a lot of mediocre stuff. These mystery packs are always a little tough to do but usually you want to see at least 1.2x-1.25x the comps from what was paid in this high range. I agree with most peoples assessment as these should be $200 at best. Just my personal opinion though

Erik, I love your videos and respect your opinions on the card world. I realize some things you say in this vid you're just trying to remain positive because you are a positive person but when you say things like an akil baddoo auto is a "nice one", it also hurts your credibility. 90% of the items in these packs are hard to sell items. The mystery packs were definitely quantity over quality. They're the kind of items that if you put them on ebay with a starting bid of $0.99, you might only get 1 bid. A lot of the autos were guys who never made it in the majors and got shipped pack to the minors. There were some nice name leaf and panini autos but they'll never sell close to anything from Topps. Sorry for the harsh truth on this because I'm generally positive on most mystery packs.

I would have to go back and write them down but I think he opened at least 6-7 1/1s in those packs. There are 15-16 1/1s out of the 30 packs so that’s about right for 12 that he opened.

I love Mystery packs. Ivr tried making some before and its not as easy as you may think unless you just throw a nunch of garb together. But man $400 is a lot idk if those had more return than the investment i wouldnt pay more than $150 for those. PSA 9 Vladdy base is like $15

I think its easy to get caught up in the flashy stuff in high end mystery packs and forget how much you paid for them. The petersen packs had some great stuff in them, but I don't know if they were worth the money simply because they were so expensive.

Since it won't be long. Have you ever purchased any of the Pirates signed baseballs during Pirates Charities night? I try to buy a couple if finances permit. At $55 (last year's prices) it's hard to beat for a signed baseball. Even if it's not a great one.

Maybe I'm in th minority but for me 90% of collecting cards is the fun of opening the packs MYSELF, so although I like JABS, I really dont like the hiding the packs as he opens them and makes it like a mystery and teases me, I really would rather open the packs myself. Anyone else feel that way?

Everyone has their own preferences. If I open your cards, you get to see it twice, once on camera and then once a few days later when they are shipped and you get to look through. It’s just a different way of opening cards, you get to see what you’re getting on your tv or phone.

Eric I love your videos you're one of my favorite guys on eBay. But when you say a Jackson holiday that has to be at gem mint 10 to really make any money on. I bought that same card on eBay for $135. I put my first comment when I seen the first pack. Now I've watched the whole video. This is not good at all this is not worth $400 this is worth maybe 250 at the most. These are a lot of cards that would go in dollar and $5 boxes and you know how it goes you get it stack and you get money knocked off. Where if you put on eBay with a 99% bid starting. You may get one maybe two big on a lot of things, it's not worth the value

Thank you for the kind words. There are some really tough critics in here but I get it. These packs were really meant to be opened in one video in order of the teams on them. Some really big hits were not opened, Adley Spike card, Bryce Harper 1/1, Jose Ramirez /5 auto, Yordan 1/1 and others. Probably would have helped raise the overall opinion on the packs as a whole.
