Brother that is Mesopotamian civilisation, older than the Egyptian pyramids and worlds first civilisation. How fascinating to watch these ruins. This part of the journey was tough. Riding through a cold dusty terrain with frequent army and police checkposts is indeed irritating. The police surveillance perhaps exists because of the volatile situation. Anyway,to have the opportunity of visiting the relics of one of the oldest civilization in the world was a welcome one.
