Never ever grab a wire you are unsure is live . At the very least touch it with the back of your hand so that if your muscles spasms it won't force you to grip it . But never touch that wire , use an insulated plier, be insulated from ground and work on insulated materials like wood or plastic

Dude, get a disc shield for your angle grinder. If it blows up, the shards carry enough energy to rip through your tendons, joints and maybe even bones.

They used this kind of thing for actual bone mills in the 70s and 80s Same motor and disc so Yeah no joke
@manman-sg1zt Жыл бұрын
@@Jasmine-gw1uw Actually I have a story about my grandpa, may god look over his soul. He used to do a lot of tinkering and he pulled out a motor from a vacuum cleaner and mounted a grinding disc to it. He wanted to cut a hinge of the window and the disc blew up. Piece of the disc went through his shoulder and got stuck in a cast iron sewing machine behind him across the room. So um. Yeah, disc shields. Prety useful. P.S. He didn't die becouse of the exploding disc. Cancer did it.

Hey Everyone ! Just wanted to inform you that the ' site ' ( flipkart ) from which bought this product stated that it was an SCR based Controller but when i did some research , it turned out to be a TRIAC which i expected too but the sellers got me confused..... Although, there is not much of a difference between an SCR & a TRIAC except for the fact that an SCR allows the flow of current only in one direction but a triac allows it in both the directions. Hope it helps and appologies for the confusion. Best Regards, Mr. Electron

@nelunicoara44833 жыл бұрын
@@pradipdas1977 No, it's not "pure sin wave AC output" because this device is JUST a command in the triac phase. So far away from that is real Motor Speed Controller. It's identical with those component from portable drilling machines.
@oldbloke1353 жыл бұрын
@@mr.makeit4037 It does have a bridge rectifier but it is not using it as a rectifier! It uses the four diodes as part of the trigger circuit.

Upward of that 12K rpm range and below 30K with a big fan/cutter wheel/impeller/propeller will make it sound like the grinder, high rpm’s with no weight sound sharp like the red sewing machine That’s what I was trying to figure out before, as I love these high speed motors in things, but I like that lower pitch And this is a 15-25K rpm brushed series wound universal AC/DC for anyone lost and/or confused like I was, there are a million specs and rpm/torque variants but they’re all the same “Type” of motor

Can I use a dimmer for a house lighting? Hi Experts, usually we control AC motor (other than Fan) by dimming voltage, the motor burns out. Isn't it the case? With this dimmer? Please advise, I'm thinking to control a sewing machine motor which runs upto 7500 RPM, tried with fan dimmer & burnt already on lowest speed

I have a few questions. 1- Isn’t this an AC to AC voltage regulator - to lower AC voltages? 2- if it is an AC to AC regulator, then why is there a bridge rectifier in Its circuitry? 3- At +/- 4:35min you say: that this is a SCR speed controller and it only changes “the firing angle” if that’s what you said, what does that mean? And if that is not what you said, then what did you say? Please clarify for me. I bought this device, because I thought I could use it to lower 120VAC, down to 9VAC. Was I wrong? Please let me know. Thank you kindly.

SCR only have half cycle ac so called TRIAC consist of two SCR connected in bi-directional so that to give you a full cycle of ac voltage, in other words a SCR combine with a pnp +npn transistors and thus with two pair of pnpnpe trasistors.

Would that controller run on teslas plasma energy? By running ac sine wave thru a spark gap you get ac direct. Running ac direct thru a vacuum tube spark gap you get teslas plasma energy. That has the capability to run a drum motor at 3,000 rpm with less than 2amps. According to Gerard Morins work, at 9,000 rpm you can power a 3.5 kw transformer with a edrum motor at 9,000 rpms. He couldn't get a controller to turn it that fast when he seemed to go missing 6-7 years ago.
