Im in the same industry (almost 40 years now) and pull in similar revenues with only 4 other employees, but the real question is, what do you get to keep in the end? In other words, how much do you net after all the bills are paid? Trust me folks, its not as much as you might think. I love this kind of work, but the key to success is building a great reputation so you’ll stay busy through the years. Construction work such as this cycles just as the housing market does. As such, you will experience slow times in most markets from time to time. Being able to weather those is what really will separate you from your competitors over time because many will go out of business in those slow times. This is a hard business to be successful in but if your work ethic is above average and you stay hands on, you can be successful. Hands off and leave it up to your employees to run jobs for you and you’ll not last long in most cases.

Credit score doesnt mean shit if you dont have credit worthiness. You cant just have a 800 crsdot score and get a 200k+ piece of equipment. You have to start with a used 40k piece then, 80k, then 150k, etc. Just doesn't add up, and yes, i own a land clearing company and a welding company.

What amazes me about a physical business is you have to have a huge amount of input to get decent output. When you are taking on loans, it's a bit risky, but the machines will do the work of 10-20 men, so you can't really lose, so long as the work keeps coming. Loans can be an incredibly powerful tool but there has to be return on it, debt is good if it makes you money, above and over the loan amount+interest. Nice to see a young one taking the risk and it paying off though, good.

If you are starting any business, it's common knowledge that year 1 is usually a loss. Year 2 is when it starts getting good. I work for a new nightclub business, they easily pull in £6000 a night, after taxes and bills the main boss (who does none of the frontline work) gets to keep about £10,000 a month to himself. But year 2 is where it's at. Might peak by year 5 it's established by then.

Women however don't. You're more likely to find Onlyfans girls than actual female entrepreneurs. Women are inherently lazy when it comes to resource gathering. The reason being they have beauty to give them status, and men to take care of them. Keep that in mind when you go into business as a woman. You're not likely to find many peers
