The reason that setup is so good with the M16 is because it has a long range so the silencer doesn't impede its stopping power, and the ACOG actually increases the center speed, effectively reducing recoil so you get more shots on target with fewer pulls of the trigger.

For the knifing issue, would it not be a good idea to have a "knife charge" meter? the longer you hold it the more damage it deals? so you can get panic knifed around a corner, and its would still be useful in some situations.

About the dropshoting being cheap, I use it as often as I can as a conexion equalizer, since I'm always on a 3 bar, the only way I can win some 1 v 1 gunfights, even if I have the first shot off is by dropshotting.

I agree with most the things you say. However, I have to say drop shots are way better than panic knifes. Ever since I changed my button layout, I barely use the knife. And I would assume it be the same if others followed suit.
