Not sure why some people in the comment section are saying this sounds bad. The reason it sounds different is because it's raw vocals with a guitar. I think it sounds amazing, and the song he chose to cover fits perfectly inline with FIDLAR's feel.

It's not what you would normally call a "good voice" but at the same time it's organic and it's you and it actually sounds incredible. Kinda like Bob Dylan in a different way. Bob cannot sing but his music is beautiful

Acoustic all around is kind of not punk unless you're Johnny Hobo or Captain Chaos. It's not even his real voice that he sings with though! This is some nasily falsetto (throat singing) that he's using because he doesn't want to actually scream and belt it out. You have to be really loud to do that so don't blame him but If I were him I would've just stopped recording as soon as I heard how bad my falsetto singing is (if it was like that at least lol) to save myself the embarassment

I've since matured and have realized to not be so judgemental about flaws in peoples play/singing (as long as its still a coherent song). If a singer like Bob Dylan can become as huge a legend as he, then clearly being some masterful soul singer with perfect pitch or w/e is not important. It is all subjective. (Btw thats not me taking a jab at Bob Dylan or w/e. Just an example of someone who doesn't sing perfectly yet still finds amazing success)

Is there a version of Zac's take on this song (Particularly, this recording) up without the annoying intro? The only other place I've found this was in the fanmade "Sadface" comp album. I really love this take on this song, just wish i could find it alone without the intro that sounds like you mixed "drop it like it's hot" with an 8-bit indie game. I'm sorry. I listen to a lot of pop punk/punk and i get that "they are suppose to not sound good, that's what makes it work and makes it raw". I get it and it does work.....buuuut this guy just doesn't sound good. It's not even raw good. It's too whiney. He should have went an octave or two down to a spot he felt more comfortable. People now a days need to realize its ok to give constructive criticism. Not everyone can sound good because it sounds different.
