40dB attenuator and tap box

I need to inject a small signal to align the FT 101, sometimes your test equipment won't do what you need to do, so take what you got and build something to increase capability. Here is an RF attenuator to bring down signal levels for sampling RF to your o-scope or Spectrum Analyzer or use it a little different and make your signal generator have more lower range when working on receivers.

You can probably find a repairable HP8640B for a reasonable price. Very good sig gen. You present your information well, one of the better videos. I, too, am working on a FT-101 EE

Thanks. I looked at some HP8640B sig gens on line and they look very capable for what I do. I like the new enough to be accurate but old enough to be fun to use!
