I am in the process of modifying my own container. It's 40' high cube. refrigerated unit completely insulated and all stainless steel inside.I have been in full conception of researching any and everything about this incredible adventure for the past 2 years. out of every video documentary .anything to do with containers or tiny houses. Your garden style container studio is hands down the best overall single high cube container house I have seen. your 25 years of being a craftsman truly shine in your prototype Thanks for sharing your project and your awesome vision of where you would like your humanitarian effort to flow with less resistance as your dream enables others to help themself s to set realistic goals of owning there own home some day giving another human the chance of experiencing pride in ownership. Keep up the authentic efforts of being part of the solution and not part of the problem . This crazy world were living in ,is lacking beyond compensation !! Yours Truly, Timothy Douglass.

I love the outdoor design of the house! The layout inside is very efficient other than the 'compact' living-room space. I definitely would want a 20' container added to expand that space and give it a dining area too. Other than that, I love the position of the bathroom - it serves as an ensuite whilst also providing a separate toilet area for the rest of the home. What I did not see is ample bedroom wardrobe space!!! This house definitely needs more storage area...

Very Nice! Great idea putting a roof over the container as well as the porch! Maybe it's the angle of the camera... but the roof looks shorter on one side than the other. I'd want it the same all the way around. And I think I'd have the lav against the cabinet and the toilet facing it/sideways so it's not sticking out in the walkway or visible from the living area.

This isn't flashy, it's just pure design excellence. This is what I'd show someone if I was trying to convince them single container homes were viable.
@remicaron31913 жыл бұрын
Container buildings are useless. For the price of buying a container you can stick frame for the same or even less experience than the container. It’s simply a fad which people who know nothing about building love because it seems simpler but the facts are that it only limits your building footprint by forcing container sizes to your projects. The expensive part of a building is its interior and finishing which a container does nothing to lower.
@eysank3 жыл бұрын
Exactly. The only benefit I can think of is that these types of buildings reuse otherwise scrapped materials such as the container. It might be better than using wood or other framing materials. But that's pretty much it. I can understand why people still choose to build with a container since it might be environmentally friendlier; in their eyes at least.
@Mywhtjp3 жыл бұрын
NOT USELESS..! You CAN'T buy any house for $5000. Then you add to it to insulate it and make it cozy\yours. This is UPPER END living in a container.. but still wayyyy less than any stick built, thereby making it USEFUL.. :P These peeps have done great work to make 2 containers a nice home.. Life Uncontained
