I visited Bora Bora with my wife 45 years ago and also visited Tahaa where we went to that beautiful little church for Sunday service. Bora Bora and the rest of the islands were very different then, so many fond memories and to date one of the most beautiful place I have ever been. Glad to see Tahaa has not followed Bora Bora's ring of hotels which in my opinion has ruined the island.

I was right there in a sailboat 2 months ago.Beautiful area. Particularly enjoyed Taha'a's coral garden for some up-close snorkelling action. After a few weeks around Taha'a we sailed to Maupiti and then on to Samoa and Fiji. In Maupiti make sure you climb to the top of the big hill for stunning views of their lagoon.
