This was the first skate vid I ever got haha. Good times! Back when Sheckler was no one, Busenitz skated at a 'normal' speed, and Salabanzi was rockin the rowley classics!

Crazy to think this was 23 years ago... Also Jereme Rogers transition to rap makes sense if he was chillin with Salabanzi all the time maybe he was influenced by him alot. It is nuts that some of these tricks people are only now getting them down 23 years later - it makes you wonder how did they get so good back then

Damn.. As a young kid, I used to fall asleep imagining crazy ass tricks I'd do if I ever got to skate in the Tampa Am.
@Jeramithehuman4 жыл бұрын
I skated in Tampa AM before in 2000. I live on the east coast FL. Let me tell you this lol the park is nothing like you expect and the bangers I’ve seen go down there are insane and it’s like 110° in that warehouse we would always have to bring a gang of extra clothes because if you fall your clothes are done it’s so dirty or you’re soaked within 30 min. The local hookers would hang near the park and blow you for $10 🤣 even after you were soaked skating all day. Figured I’d share my story with you.
@Brancovtn654 жыл бұрын
@@Jeramithehuman Lmao that sounds fucking awesome! Ngl I got chicken skin reading that for some reason. The 90s/ early 2000’s were the best. Thanks for sharing.
@Jeramithehuman4 жыл бұрын
@@Brancovtn65 yes man those were the days 🤣🤣 oh god the stuff we used to do back then if we got caught doing that today you’d get 10 years in prison. My boy Tony Reddington was starting a magazine back then called FTK for the krew and he would have all the pros over his place for parties during Tampa AM and Pro everyone would get wasted and we would go crazy in downtown Tampa showing up to the convention center or blue 10 then marble manner like 50 deep then break into Tampa skatepark and sleep in the bowl before Brian Schafer was cool with it . Jesus this was in my recommendations all these years later I’m glad to share it’s like looking back now and how mainstream skateboarding is with Red Bull and Nike shit don’t get me wrong ppl now are crazy good but you were more of an outcast back then like you could smoke a blunt with Bastien Salabanzi or like Jeremy Rogers in the parking lot and nobody would care. The park now is definitely nicer but it was those times when the world was a skatepark and nobody had smart phones or social media and skate videos were like currency. You could go to Miami and literally sleep at some spots you’d see in videos or get a hotel from the first 48 tv show haha. I saw your comment and had to tell you that’s what I used to dream about. Now I’m older and see the whole world as padded and watered down or it’s the lite version of what it stood for.

Yeah, it's horrid. I remember these days in skating everyone was going from 90's gangsta rap into that shitty pop-punk stuff. Everyone's pants dropped about 6 sizes! It lasted until about 2003 and everyone came to their senses again.
