technically doesn't matter in this formation, the two CM"s aren't supposed to be 10's, they're more like 8's (box to box midfielders). A true number 10 has less defensive responsibilities, probably why they chose to put him out wide, where he can create. Although, I totally understand your thinking, because that's definitely more of a 7 position! haha.
