My analysis is that they didn’t increase any dimensions other than the length to accommodate mag/action, which I don’t like. Compare to Accuracy international where the AX50 ELR is sized up all over (except the grip and cheek rest) to accommodate for the increase in, well, everything. I don’t know about y’all, but when I’m touching off a round of 416/50BMG, I want the rifle to have BEEN DESIGNED with those pressures in mind. The MRADELR was not. Besides, one of the best features of the OG MRAD was the polymer sleeve that kept the action completely free of dirt and dust and ice and whatever. Because they didn’t increase the dimensions of the rifle, they had to do away with that. I’m sure it saved them a lot of money, but it is a compromise as far as I’m concerned.
