.... what is gamakam 🤔🤔🤔

Is it necessary to play gamakam in the slow speed I am an absolute beginner and find it difficult and inconvenient to play so..Also do we need to use the second (middle)finger too ? I am used to playing sitar where only the index finger is used..pls clarify..Also ,do we need to practice in the three speeds always or just the third speed is OK once when we get a bit proficient ?
@veenaranjanimahesh2 жыл бұрын
There is no need to play gamaka if you are a beginner.. but once you know the swara sthana, its always better to learn it. You can use two fingers or one dep on your convenience. Its better to learn 3 speeds as it s a good practice to play slow as well as fast.

Very good one... actually i have a doubt mam...when you are playing each notes, it is continuous in nature..but when im playing veena, it is hearing as individual swaras..how to solve this???
@veenaranjanimahesh3 жыл бұрын
When u go from one note to the other, try to sustain it by sliding.. also right hand should not stop the vibrations.
