ive gotten a lot better results skipping casters and going straight to stormsurge. if you need mana you can get an early tear. you don't have to upgrade it but it opens a route to seraphs if you ever need it. stormsuge is so much better bc its active has a 40% scaling and casters scaling is only 6%. you only want it for wave clear which most mages especially lux dont need
