As an American, I can say without a doubt, RAISING MINIMUM WAGE DOES NOT MEAN THINGS HAVE TO BE MORE EXPENSIVE!! It's just BS that corporate Big wigs spiel out to get law makers to not increase the minimum wage. California has always been an expensive place to live and yet they increased the minimum wage and it didn't result in any increase of cost. The only things that causes prices to rise are shortages and currency inflation. The MW in Pennsylvania has been 7.25 USD since the early 90s and yet inflation, shortages and such have caused the prices of everything to skyrocket since then. 7.25 USD isn't a livable wage and hasn't been one for 30+ years.

Yeah the pub thing is genuinely accurate. The village in Cork where I went to secondary school had 7 ACTIVE pubs on a 300 metre stretch of road. There were one or two as well that were closed down, and the other streets had pubs as well, but the main street alone had 7 in 300 metres. Now I live in the city and my house is attached to a pub. Then there's a bookie, then another pub. Going the other way there are two more pubs before you get out of view of my front door. 😂

@@anon3600 the clip had the character using a level. Basically the way it works is there’s a little tube of liquid and a little bit of air, and the bubble will always try to go to the top. So if the tube is lying sideways on a level surface the bubble will balance perfectly in the middle of the tube, if it is slightly tilted in either direction the bubble won’t be right in the middle, so you know the surface isn’t level. So in the context of the clip he didn’t need to see the bubble because it was so uneven that the level slid off of the wall

The man at the end with the new puppy? That's how I felt when my 19-year-old cat finally left. I'd known her since she was born (the mamma cat gave birth in my backyard) when I was 11 years old. Zoe was often more like a dog in how she interacted with me than she was like most cats, so she played an active role in my life for longer than I've known most people. It felt like I could never bond with another cat the same way. But we got Daniel and Bonnie (both arrived shortly before Zoe left). Part of the reason we had them was because we knew that, for us at least, giving a home to a cat (or cats) in need helps us heal more quickly after a big loss. They aren't a replacement for Zoe, because no two cats are the same, but they are themselves, and they bring me a lot of joy

The higher the concentration, the longer the scent will last. Colognes with a higher oil concentration will cost more than the same product with a lower one BUT different products have a wide range of prices. A higher price DOES NOT necessarily mean it will last longer, a Louis Vuitton Eau de toilette can and usually does cost many times more than an Eau de Parfum from Pacco Rabanne but the Eau de parfum will last longer due to the higher oil concentration.

Just for clarification in the US (I don't know about other countries) if you're a waiter or bus boy and are tipped most restaurants don't pay them minimum wage they will make around half of the minimum wage and the rest of their income is through tips if they aren't forced to split it between everyone. The worst I've heard is that a friend of mine was only making 6$ an hour as a bus boy when the minimum wage was 11$ an hour.

I worked as a chef for years in my youth. It isn't unusual to see servers get paychecks for an entire week of work that are less than $5 because the taxes for their claimed tips come out of their actual paycheck. The system works though. Tips are why American restaurants are relatively cheap in relation to portion sizes and food quality, and those servers that make less than minimum wage often make far more than the kitchen staff. While they technically get paid minimum wage or less, most of the restaurants I worked in, servers that had the drive to work the busiest nights every week (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) were often bringing home $800-$1,200 per week. That worked out to $20-40/hr depending on how many hours they worked at a time when the minimum wage was $5.35-$7.15/hr. BUT this is why I tip in cash if I can because if you give cash tips a server can claim lower tips to avoid going just over the threshold to hit a higher tax bracket.

7:35 for anyone wondering about the source of the audio of the guy screaming its from SCP containment breach the original game had a chamber which was used to trap an SCP we called Larry now Larry is attracted to pain and misery so inside the trap was placed a class D personel(prisoner/test subject human) where in the trap room he will be placed on a chair and tied down. In the game you have to press a button which will make the chair crush his femur which will make him wail and cry uncontrollably his pain will attract Larry which can phase through the earth in which you can trap him in his special containment chamber. The class D personnels scream audio is one of the most terrifying audio clips ever recorded in my mind.

I feel like the 'were you into translucent or solid' debate comes down to whether you found circuitboards/mechanical operations interesting in their own right. I definitely would have loved the translucent look, but as a kid always wound up with the solid color devices and controllers. That said, I suppose if I really wanted translucent I could probably replace the shells on stuff these days. I do still love my old teal GBC tho.
