I want to tell a sad memory when I went to "Hà lội" for a holiday during Tet and also gave 100k as a lucky money to a security guard. The guard didn't even say thank you, just nodded and opened it right away, then made a facial expression like 'Is this all?' That was the impression when I first went to "Hà lội" for a holiday during Tet."

Bánh mì hấp, poor-man-left-over bread, Mom and Dad worked in kitchen in rubber plantation owed by French in 50’s. This is how they ate left over bread, back then just scallion fried with lard as topping. It is still my favorite dish.
