Nice job guys! I know you called this car a Z06, but that is clearly the anniversary convertible model which was not considered a Z06 (although it had the wider body and LS7). The question I have is, did these cars have the lighter aluminum frame like the Z06, or did they use the steel frame from the C6 convertibles? I'd guess the later due to not having the top, but I'm not 100% sure as I've never looked at the frame on these anniversary convertibles. Can anyone that knows for certain please clarify?

Steel frame. The aluminum frame from the Z06/ZR1 is lighter, but not near as stiff, which is why the it needed to have the fixed roof for additional rigidity. Obviously the lack of a roof on the verts meant it had to have the steel frame. It was only about ~136 lbs difference if I remember correctly.

Question: How are you guys able to leave traction control on? I have a C6 making around 770-780 and it just feels like it's slamming on the breaks whenever there is the slightest bit of traction lost instead of just reducing the amount of engine power if needed. Thanks.

Steven: 👨‍💻 📈📊 NGL this is the part of tuning people don't see is the changes made to parameters that don't just make power but control it. That includes playing with settings that work with TC. I don't know the science of it but I know that is tuner preferred settings that they use with cars and parts they use.

@@LineMUp321 What I'm going to assume is the min and max torque settings have been changed along with the runtimes. On mine it shows -49min and +479 max torque when traction control kicks in, I think that's default because I never changed it. So depending on what the PCM is reading for HP and TQ those numbers may have to be set to higher amounts especially the min TQ settings. Currently I just turn my TC completely off.

The customer with the ZL1 upgraded his package after we already began his build. Anytime we have cars with no power and windows down waiting on parts, we cover to make sure interior stays in perfect condition until parts show. 👍

I have not followed these two companies recently, but historically they were not tied together. A&A use to have a better bracket (more belt wrap), while ECS use to have a larger and better IC. I don't know if things have changed in recent years, they could've.

They did a refresh, the c6's have 6 piston up front & 4 in the rear. They're actually really good from the factory. Fresh pads should do fine.
