With a degree in microbiology, Connie ’62 worked in a laboratory at the University of Washington Medical School, later moving to Jerusalem where she established a hospital laboratory and taught microbiology to an Arabic-speaking staff. After earning a master’s degree in public administration, Connie assumed leadership roles in public service, from chair of the Washington Transportation Commission to member of the Everett City Council. She also served twice as chair during her 12 years as a WSU Regent. Similarly, Jud, as co-founder of LMN Architects, has had distinguished roles serving on several national boards from the American Institute of Architects to the National Architectural Accreditation Board. Longtime supporters of many WSU programs, Connie and Jud have given generously to the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine, and architecture studies at the School of Design and Construction.
